Description

NGC4565 is 30 to 50 million light years distant. It's a favorite among amateur visual observers due to the long, edge on disk with visible dark lane and bulge. In astrophotos, details of the disk become visible. The field has multiple small galaxies present, most of which are IC objects. The 2nd largest object is itself an NGC object (NGC4562) and shows a hint of structure upon close examination. NGC4565's disk is slightly warped, with hints of blue tips and red star forming regions among the dust lane and face.

I took this data between March 2021 and May 2021 at the TAAA CAC dark site in southern AZ.
